SAINTS OF THE UNDERGROUND (formerly ANGEL CITY OUTLAWS),the band featuring Blotzer, Jani Lane (WARRANT) on vocals, and Keri Kelli (ALICE COOPER) on guitar, released its long-awaited debut album, "Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner", on April 22 via Warrior Records. Lane previously commented on the CD: "We have had the opportunity to mix our record with Andy Johns of [THE ROLLING] STONES and [LED] ZEPPELIN fame, to name two of hundreds. Google him if you don't believe me. He was an English prince and we had a blast working together. It's the best stuff I've done in a long, long time."
According to the band's official bio, THE SAINTS OF THE UNDERGROUND started out as four guys Lane, Kelli, Blotzer and Robbie Crane (ex-RATT, VINCE NEIL, ADLER'S APPETITE) on bass playing cover tunes and having a good time. As the chemistry grew between them, the band naturally evolved into a creative partnership. As the songs stacked up, the band entered into Blotzer's studio, Diamond Recordings, and laid down an array of original material written by Jani, Bobby, and Keri.
"Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner" has been generating great buzz from the industry and features enough heavy grooves, top 40 hooks and memorable riffs and melodies to satisfy the most demanding rock 'n' roll fans. Tracks like "Serial Killer", "Exit", "Signs of Life", and a mesmerizing version of THE ROLLING STONES classic "Moon Light Mile", have this debut CD rocking along to a familar yet distinctive beat that will please old fans, and win new ones.
